"The Theory of Economics does not furnish a body of settled conclusions immediately applicable to policy. It is a method rather than a doctrine, an apparatus of the mind, a technique of thinking which helps its possessor to draw correct conclusions. However,if economists could manage to get themselves thought of as humble, competent people on a level with dentists, that would be splendid."
John Maynard Keynes

Introduction

To my respected IB candidates,

Welcome to IB economics and your quest for academic excellence and critical thinking. It’s normal for this class to be both enjoyable and rigorous. The theories of Keynes, Marx, Smith and Friedman have unified, divided and changed not only the world but how people think. Indeed, many argue that economists have been the unrecognised "drivers" of history.

For the IB student, economics is not about memorising tables or lines of text, it is a way of thinking analytically about many issues that affect you personally, your family, your country and the world. If you work on the material on this website and engage with the topics in class, your thought process will gradually begin change and you will find yourself thinking deeply and analytically about issues from the price of a Pokemon toy to the rise of Hitler or conflict in the Middle East.

This page aims to serve as a complete online resource for my IB Economics students and to help them become economists. Within the calendar below, there are hyperlinks to resources and videos for each unit. There is also a page linked at the bottom I have for exam preparation. This will be updated as the course progresses, so please keep returning for updates.

Also included are very important revision booklets for exam preparation and essential guidance for the Internal assessment section of the course. Ideally, these pages will provide all students with the resources necessary for success in IB Economics. I have also included lots of extra documentaries and information for students who want to explore these topics further in their free time.

Also please check out and subscribe to my youtube channel!!! It includes lots of revision videos (I have included one below). I hope they help with your studies!!!
